Have You Experienced One of the Best Beaches in the U.S.?
Many visitors opt to visit Kauai, Maui, or Oahu thinking that the Big Island doesn’t have many spectacular sandy beaches. I have to say, when you descend over the lava landscape as you land at the Kona International Airport, you might be thinking you’ve landed on the moon.

The Beauty of Kua Bay
What makes the Big Island so remarkable is that the island lets you experience almost all of the world’s ecosystems in one trip! If you head 12 miles North from the Kona Airport, you will find one of the most epic beaches in the world, Maniniowali, otherwise known as Kua Bay.

Voted as the 8th best beach in the United States by Tripadvisor, one can’t contest the breathtaking beauty of Kua Bay. One of the Big Island’s ultimate aquatic playgrounds, this beach is my personal favorite. Whether you seek to stand-up paddle, snorkel, bodyboard, underwater rock run, or simply just relax in the sand, Kua Bay offers something for everyone to enjoy.
