Each year, Parker School holds two fantastic fundraising events to benefit financial aid; in the fall, Fairways & Friends Annual Golf Tournament at Hualalai Resort, and the spring Kahiau Auction and Dinner Gala at the Fairmont Orchid.
Personally, the Kahiau Auction and Dinner Gala is one of my favorite annual charity events. Guests enjoy a sit-down dinner with live entertainment, plus submit bids on hundreds of silent auction items. A few of the items included in this year’s auction include:
- Nanea, Hokuli’a, and Kohanaiki golf package
- Private pupu party for 20 catered by Lisa Vann of The Fish & The Hog with entertainment by comedian Kona Kozy
- Jewelry, health, fitness, and spa packages
- Exceptional dining experiences
- And much more

Guests can also participate in activities such as “First Bidder Frenzy,” your chance to win a private chef’s dinner for four at Lava Lava Beach Club. Nearly 50 percent of the students who attend Parker School receive financial aid, and Kahiau, the school’s largest fundraiser of the year, is essential to making this possible.
